📆 How Time Works in Hiraeth

Unlike Earth’s calendar system, Hiraeth’s calendar reflects cosmic forces, Magik cycles, and Veil alignments.

🔁 The Week

Each week in Hiraeth is made up of six days, each connected to an elemental or spiritual theme:

  • Nebryne – The Day of Beginnings (Associated with water and birth)

  • Velisane – The Day of Movement (Wind, change, messages)

  • Eryndale – The Day of Growth (Earth, creativity, nurturing)

  • Briarwyn – The Day of Conflict (Fire, trials, resistance)

  • Calvendre – The Day of Balance (Void, truth, reflection)

  • Syloraen – The Day of Communion (Light, spirit, unity)

No weekends — every sixth day becomes a reflective, sacred pause before the cycle renews.

📅 The Months of Hiraeth

Each Hiraeth year has 10 months, each with 42 days, totaling 420 days per year. These months correspond to elemental shifts, lunar phases, and cultural observances:

  1. Cindralis – The Emberborn Rise (Fire, ambition, new beginnings)

  2. Zephyros – Winds of Renewal (Air, liberation, cleansing)

  3. Verdance – The Blooming Veil (Earth, growth, fertility)

  4. Solvane – Days of Radiance (Light, courage, vitality)

  5. Astravelle – The Sky’s Embrace (Cosmos, knowledge, prophecy)

  6. Umbraen – The Deep Watch (Shadow, secrecy, introspection)

  7. Nebralis – The Beast Stirs (Chaos, strength, change)

  8. Eclipsin – The Broken Mirror (Duality, loss, transformation)

  9. Luminith – Silver Dawns (Hope, clarity, illumination)

  10. Nivarel – The Frost’s Kiss (Rest, memory, finality)

Each month carries its own tone and folklore — and major holidays, like Bloodbond Day, The Festival of Ashes, and Veil’s Wane, are embedded across this celestial map.
